Apple iPhone 14 selfie camera will see a lot of upgrades
Originally, the iPhone 13 series arrived with a selfie camera made by a Chinese manufacturer and Japan’s Sharp. Although Sharp is still onboard with the upcoming iPhone 14 series’ front cameras, Apple has bid adieu to the Chinese manufacturer citing quality issues. LG Innotek has been onboard to manufacture the front cameras for the upcoming iPhone 14 family which is a move that Apple was planning to do for next year’s iPhone 15 series.
However, Apple is planning to upgrade the camera system at the front and that’s where LG Innotek comes into play. However, what this causes is the fact that the selfie camera system will cost 3x more than the Chinese counterpart. The upgrade brings features like autofocus among other improvements in the functionalities of the front camera. Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) will make the selfie shooter as well. The iPhone 14 series is slated to arrive this fall sometime in September although the dates haven’t been announced. It comprises four models i.e. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and iPhone 14 Mini.
